BEWARE OF INVESTMENT SCAMS
The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is the investor’s advocate!

WARNING SIGNS:
  • High pressure sales tactics that insist on immediate decisions in investments.
  • Sales people who are unwilling to let you discuss the deal with another individual.
  • A guaranteed return on your investment with little or no risk.
  • Unwillingness to provide written information, including securities registrations and licenses.
  • Any suggestion that you invest on the basis of faith or trust.
PREVENTATIVE STEPS:
  • Hang-up on cold callers.

  • Check before you invest! Confirm that the sales person, product offered, and company are duly registered.
