![]() From left to right Mr. Bob Toye, Program Specialist Mr. Toye joined the AARP Foundation in 2009 after six years with AARP’s State Operations Group, where he served as the national office liaison for the AARP Chapters and Information Centers programs. In his current assignment as Program Specialist for ElderWatch, Mr. Toye manages the outbound call center and is responsible for its day-to-day operations as well as volunteer recruiting, training and supervision. Prior to AARP, Mr. Toye spent 14 years with the headquarters staff of the TelecomPioneers Association, most recently as the director of partnerships and programs for this international organization of active and retired telecommunications employee volunteers. Mr. Toye is a graduate of St. John’s University Amy Nofziger, Manager, Program Leader Prior to being promoted to Program Leader, Amy held the position of Program Coordinator since January 2001. Amy is responsible for overall program management including; development, financial authority and strategic planning. Amy actively participates with national consumer groups such as; National Association of Consumer Agency Administrators (NACAA) and National Consumers League (NCL). Currently Amy sits on the advisory board of the Colorado Coalition for Elder Rights and Adult Protection (CCERAP). Amy has presented to over 20,000 consumers and professionals on protecting themselves from financial exploitation and utilizing best practices in their lives. She has a degree in Criminology/ Sociology from Ohio University, a certificate in Gerontology from the University of Denver and is a trained Mediator. Currently Amy is a student at Regis University studying to receive her Masters of Arts with specialization in Leadership. Allison Carver- Senior Program Specialist Allison Carver is the Senior Program Specialist for the AARP ElderWatch program. Prior to joining the ElderWatch team in 2008; Allison was a policy analyst for Florida's Agency for Health Care Administration, worked in the Florida Legislature, and was a case manager for adults with developmental disabilities. However, Allison grew to love AARP while completing her graduate internship with AARP Florida. Allison is responsible for program coordination including; education outreach, volunteer management, and assisting with design and technological coordination of the website. Allison has a degree in International Affairs and Political Science from Florida State University. Julie L. Mangum, Senior Program Assistant Julie comes to AARP’s ElderWatch Program with nearly two decades of administrative support experience. During the past eight years she has worked in non-profit organizations. In her various roles, Julie has served at-risk youth, offenders in the justice system and those in hospice care. At ElderWatch, Julie manages all the budgets and programming needs of our grant funded programs. In addition, Julie works regularly with our cadre of dedicated volunteers. With a nearly 80 year old mother living close by, AARP’s dedication to offering services improving one’s quality of life has a personal relevance to Julie. Julie volunteers in a variety of community programs including the Colorado Prayer Luncheon and Samaritans Purse - Operation Christmas Child.
Bob Mager, Program Specialist Robert (Bob) Mager received a BS in Business Administration from The State University of New York at Albany. He received his MBA from Widner University, Chester, PA. He spent nearly 20 years in Human Resources with Sun Oil Company. He worked as an HR Manager at the Tulsa Refinery. He also had positions in Labor Relations and Management Training. He took an early retirement and moved to Colorado to open his own business, a Goodyear Store. He was one of the AARP Foundation ElderWatch Program’s first Fraud Fighter volunteers in the Denver Call Center. He found this so rewarding that when a new part-time position came available in Denver, he applied, got the job, and thus started his 3rd career! He recruits “Fraud Fighter“ volunteers from around Colorado as well as represents AARP ElderWatch at various community events. He is making a difference and having fun at the same time.
