You are directed to an official-looking web site that asks for your social security number, bank account or credit card information, or other personal and financial information.

NEVER respond to any Internet advertisement or “pop-up” warning that seeks your personal or financial information.

Regularly check your bank, credit and debit card statements to ensure that all transactions are legitimate.
